Deers Leap Hosts Round 2 of the Southern Cross Country Championships 2008 
On 27th April, Deers leap hosted the second round of the Southern XC Championships, organised by Team Darenth. Over 200 riders competed in every category from Elite to Veterans, and the event was a great success despite a sudden downpour resulting in a mudbath for the older riders! Marin Bikes test Team Visit Deers Leap As the newest local Marin dealer and the only shop in the region with our own bike park, Marin Bikes came to visit with their fleet of test bikes on Tuesday 18th March. Test rider Finn took the Deers Leap staff out to thrash them into the ground on a fleet of Marin and Whyte (Marin's sister specialist company) top end full suspension bikes.
Someone chose to use SPDs for the first time on a mountain bike on this occasion, which proved to be a little rash after the first six falls! Everyone learned a great deal about the bikes and the ethos of the company, and the event was a great success.
We look forward to continuing our excellent relationship with Marin - Marin UK is only just down the road in Sussex, so if you want to try out a Marin you can book a ride with us - just give us a call. We can arrange for you to try any Marin for a small fee which is deductable from the price of the bike. Don't forget we also have a range of Marin bikes in store, as well as several in the hire fleet already like the Bolinas Ridge. |

It's Easter Sunday and we are open. The latest update on opening progress is:
Trails: All trails are open, there is some new North Shore in Cock Robin Wood which has been a major attraction for those riders who've visited so far. This area will have more developments of North Shore over the course of this year.
All family trails and other singletrack are open and clear.
Shop: The shop has a reasonable amount of accessories, and we await more deliveries. We should have pretty much everything by next week (official opening week, starting 1st April).
The shop is fully stocked with bikes - Trek, Scott and Marin. We have everything from £200 Trek Hardtails up to the £2049 scott Genius MC-20 in stock.
Hire fleet: The fleet is fully up and running, and despite the grim weather recently quite a few people have been out riding. Don't forget there's a free washdown room!
Workshop: We are open for any repairs and our crack mechanic team are waiting for the influx of bikers whose bikes have been sitting in the garage all winter... get in first!

Deers Leap will re-open for business on 1st March 2008, but we're using March as a dress rehearsal for the Official Opening on Sunday 30th March 2008. So during march we'll be open at weekends only - however, we'll be offering a full service so come and hire bikes, bring your bike for repair, or buy bikes and accessories. We will also have a small snack bar, just for cups of tea and snacks at first so you can fuel up after a ride. More news soon.. |

Mountain Bike Park - Bike Shop - Hire Centre - Bike Repairs
 Just south of East Grinstead in Sussex, Deers Leap has 240 acres of dedicated mountain bike tracks of every grade from family-friendly trails to single track and north shore in the woods. We are set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the site is a great place to come for the day or just an hour or two.Our hire centre is also a fully stocked bike shop with Trek, Marin and Scott bikes as main brands - and a full repair workshop if you want to have your own bike serviced or repaired.
You can bring your own bike or hire ours from our fleet of Trek, Scott and Marin hire bikes - we feature standard bikes which are well featured hardtails suited to the terrain, full suspension for a little more, or higher end test bikes. We are a test centre for Scott bikes, so if you'd like to ride a £2000+ bike come and try one for the day.
The Shop
Deers Leap now has a fully stocked bike shop and repair centre. Our shop features all the latest models from Trek, Scott and Marin- including mountain bikes as well as hybrid/sporting/commuter bikes.
Opening - we are under new management, and are fully open from April 2008.
Summer hours (May - September): 10am - 8pm 7 days a week (shop open until 6pm).
Winter hours (October - April): 10am - 5pm. Weekends only during November - March. Bank Holidays: we're always open Bank Holidays, every school holiday and all weekends except for Christmas Day.
